Lee Stringham

Lee Stringham is a seasoned real estate transactions attorney, mediator and arbitrator who is licensed to practice law in Texas, New Mexico and Washington. He has fifteen years of experience in commercial real estate, construction and finance, and during that time has worked with business owners, land developers, asset managers, commercial brokers, general contractors, subcontractors, banks and more. Starting as a carpenter’s apprentice, working as an estimator with a general contractor and moving into land development prior to practicing law, he has been on all sides of the commercial real estate table.

His experience includes the following:

  • conducting pre-acquisition due diligence;
  • procuring government entitlements and permits and drafting Home Owner’s Association (HOA) documents;
  • developing land use, utility infrastructure, and building concepts, including the coordination of design and budget for a 52,000 SF multi-tenant industrial facility;
  • drafting project offering memoranda;
  • negotiating, reviewing, and documenting project financing packages, including commercial loan agreements for senior debt and mezzanine financing;
  • forming entities for holding, managing and operating complex real estate investments, with single or multiple shareholders;
  • negotiating and documenting purchase and sale and lease agreements; and
  • preparing construction bid packages, reviewing estimates, and negotiating construction contracts.

Lee has been involved in projects including large-parcel, mixed-use, greenfield development; small-parcel site construction for commercial / healthcare / retail / light industrial uses; single family home platting and construction; and multi-unit apartment complex due diligence and financing. Lee has represented clients in front of building departments, city councils, county commissions and state and federal courts, in matters such as subdivision of property; building code variances; contract disagreements; quiet title suits; mechanic’s lien filings and disputes; and evictions.
